Why Littering At the Beach is Bad?

Learning Goal: We are learning to write a persuasive text.
Success criteria: I know I can do this when I can express my point of view and support it with evidence. 

I believe that littering at the beach is horrible because when you leave old fishing nets in the sea the turtles will get tangled in it and they will die. The plastic bags are nasty because it gets stuck over the heads of the turtles and other sea creatures. They suffocate and they will drown. 
I suggest that people should respect the beach by taking their rubbish  home.

The Shark and The Small Fish

Learning Goal: I am learning to write a narrative text.

Success criteria: I can do this when I have

•  a Title
• Beginning: Who is the story about?
• Middle: describe the problem and the solution
• End: What happened at the end?

Once there lived  a fish and a shark in the the blue ocean. 

One day the shark trapped in a fishing net. The shark wriggled and wriggled. He could not get out of the net. Help! Help ! let me out!. The small fish came to rescue him. He nibbled right through the net.

The shark said, Freedom is mine. The fish saved me!

The Paper Bag Princess

Princess Elizabeth lived in a big castle. She wore expensive clothes. The selfish dragon destroyed the castle with his fiery breath. The princess had to wear a paper bag dress because the selfish dragon burnt all her clothes.

Success criteria: We can do this when we can use describing  words.

I can describe myself. I am Eldrich. My favourite food is chicken. I like the smell of the fried chicken. I am short and I have brown eyes. I am happy when I share.

Popcorn

Learning goal: We are learning to write a descriptive text.
Success criteria: We can do this when we can describe popcorn using our five senses.

My favourite food is popcorn. It tastes buttery and salty. It smells delicious when it is cooked in the microwave. It looks white and yellow and bumpy. It is crunchy in my mouth when it is warm.

My Trip To The Beach

Learning goal: We are learning to write a descriptive text.

Success criteria: We can do this when we can use describing  words.

In the weekend my family and I went to the beach. 
The sand was hot. I felt the sand gritty between my toes. I saw the waves crashed on the sand. I heard the seagulls squawked in the sky. The seashells sparkled in the sun. We went for a swim. I felt cold and shivering and goose bumps.
 I had a great and fun day at the beach.
